I think that this is intended. Also i disbelief that any other screamer or a screamer that appears to be performing well in your opinion would be carrying this amount of desperation, passion and authenticity in his voice. I just do not think that anyone here would enjoying The Elijah would be feeling the same as I do when I listen to their songs. Cheers

The screaming gives it the dynamic sense of ambience. You kinda need to feel it than think, "Rough vocals for a different sound". It's more than that, it's a way of expressing the lyrics! :)
