I think you're making a generalization, just because you listen to "indie" doesn't mean that everyone who doesn't listen to it are tasteless, brand name yuppies, and in my opinion The Drums, even though they make catchy songs, aren't really raw. I feel like they're just riding on the 80's revival, dress like a cool kid, drench everything in reverb bandwagon. But then again... what do I know.
