On this day in 1958 {August 11th} the Drifter's "Drip Drop" entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart for a two weeks stay, but it did manage to peak at #58... It was actually the B-side, but charted higher than the A-side, "Moonlight Bay" reached #72... Bobby Hendricks sang lead on "Drip Drop", and also in 1958 he had a solo Top 30 hit titled "Itchy Twitchy Feeling", which reached #25... Five years later in 1963 Dion covered "Drip Drop", his version peaked at #6 and spent 11 weeks in the Top 100...
