From the 1974 WB Lp W-2750 What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits produced by Ted Templeman and was written by Tom Johnston. This song is one of their best ,it only reached to #32 on the charts and it should have charted higher than that. Their early songs like this one had a country/southern rock sound. this vinyl version brings out the clear and crisp sound and it also has great stereo seperation. Radio has overlooked this song and play just the famous songs.

Underrated DB song. Interestingly, when APAS was released as a single, its b-side was "Black Water", which six months later, when BW was re-issued as the A-side, became their first #1 single.

This song is just so good. Makes me want to pick up the guitar and learn so I could sing and cry with the band. "I got to get myself together but it's hard to do".
