This is track no. 3 on DOC's second album Helter Skelter. Displeased with his treatment at Death Row records, the DOC decided to leave for Atlanta to pursue his solo career. The concept of helter skelter was originally meant for Dr. Dre and Ice Cube as a collab album (Heltah Skeltah), but the DOC took the name (and some of the lyrics he had written) with him to record his own album. He talks about some of this in the song.

Disclaimer: this is a homemade video dating back seven years.

Samples:

Isley Brothers - Living for The Love of You

Slick Rick - Children's Story

+ numerous tracks from No One Can Do It Better

Enjoy!

The D.O.C. sampled Slick Rick's voice at the end of the song, its the "Once upon a time not long ago" part. He also used similar lines with the part "only 19 looking for a dream" compared to Rick's "he was only seventeen in a madman's dream." They both used the line "this is where I have to end this story." Is that what you are talking about?

I wish that DOC could scream again, and bullets could reverse and Pac and Biggie breathe again.
