Actually, the line is "grey was the weather, one was the number." Today, September 12, 2013 is the 29th anniversary of the release of Like This, the album from which "Love Is For Lovers" comes. Thank you to everyone who ever heard it, liked it, told people about it, taped it, passed it along, bought it (new and used), downloaded it (legally and illegally) and generally kept the flame burning long after the lighter got put away.
