Know what I find funny? The girls in this video are probably mostly grandmothers by now! Can't get that out of my head as I hear them screaming at the top of their lungs! Don't know how true this is, but I've heard stories that when the Beatles played at Shea stadium they couldn't hear themselves from all the screaming. That's pretty impressive considering they were playing in straightaway center field, the wall of which was 410 feet from home plate. And those chicks are near if not actually retirees now. Can't help but laugh.

A terrific song by one of the great "forgotten" 60's bands. And Mike Smith had one of the most distinctive rock-and-roll voices of that era (even if the back-up vocals by the rest of the band are pretty weak in this song). Great memories. I still think comparisons with The Beatles are a bit silly -- The Fab Four will always be in a class of their own -- but DC5 had a good sound.
