Aside from Jann Wenner contaminating the whole thing, do you think that they deliberately hold back bands to stir up controversy and thus interest? Jethro Tull, Chicago, Cheap Trick, Heart, Moody Blues...etc,? I mean, those guys turned out some music that was better than just O.K., right? So., it can't be that the people in charge are tone deaf assholes, who flip coins provided by Wenner, right?

I was going to make the trip to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. But not now. The Dave Clark Five should have been inducted within the first 1 to 2 years. I can't believe the groups that have been voted in and the groups that haven't. It's a disgrace to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The people who vote on who gets in and doesn't get in,its time to step down and let people who know what The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is all about. Its really getting bad. Something must be done before its to late

I saw the DC 5 in concert at Cincinnati Gardens in June of 1964. Tickets were $4 and $5! What a show ... to be in the same building with those guys listening to the songs I had on 45s at home. The show lasted about 30 minutes ... the lights went out ... the sound system failed ... but the girls screamed ... I could barely hear them. My seats ... up front and in the middle gave me a great view of them. They were, to me, the best. I STILL listen to them on CD. The 60s man oh man what a time.

@MeangitarMingoMango You have no idea. If you look at many MANY of the British Invasion groups (including The Beatles) are covers of American singers. If you listen to any interviews of Paul McCartney or John Lennon and they state emphatically that their inspiration was American music. No denial ... simply stating the truth. The Beatles were the first British group to make it to America, but, their music is the British version of American music.
