I remember when a group of Cure fans gathered to listen the new Cure album... Bloodflowers, the first album with the new drummer Jason Cooper. And when I heard that the first thing that opened the album was a drum machine running in the background, then I knew that something was wrong. Then Jason began playing the same pattern that the drum machine was playing was a BIG disappointment.And it's almost the same for all of the other songs... Jason brought the backing tapes to the band, and that is a big no no for a band like The Cure. We all know by now that Push is totally ruined by Jason... the same goes for Play for Today, From the edge of the deep green sea (it's a joke to hear and watch him playing it), Why can't I be you (he can't play the drum intro as it should be), pictures of you with the background sounds and he added dumb drumfills, the same for almost all of the classic Cure songs.Jason is ruining great songs. That's why The Cure is not as big and successful as before.
