Not bad but check out the Pink Pop version from 92. I was at the side of the stage as stage hand and it was the show of shows. One tv station called Ian The Devil and yes, he was literally on fire...

definitely using sampled backing vocal tracks here. you can clearly hear "ian astbury"'s vibrato vocal. and sorum has always faked singing backing vocals (velvet revolver, guns). much like the agonizing faces he makes while pretending to pound the drums....

Where can I find the T-shirt Billy is wearing?

Is this really live? The backing vocals sound fuller than just the drummer that I see giving them. Any opinions?

The Cult's performance of 'Sun King' was from the Jonathan Ross show, that was broadcast on Channel 4 on 26th November 1989.

Yes, The Cult is where Matt came from before he joined GNR.

hhmmmm, interesting dialogue here about this performance, long time cult fan here, seen many shows since '85, this seems one of the more energetic jams, nice transitional period, post electric but before the big blow up, billy is shredding sorum banging and backing and ian actually has some voice, also much needed make over especially billy, btw the swastika shirt is biker related hells angels/harley west coast style, ian flyin flannel pre-grunge but the ray bans... maybe not, overall B+
