All the idiots saying that Warhol got Edie into drugs are talking rubbish. She was medicated by her father from a very young age. Her family on her Fathers side had severe mental problems. He was bi polar control freak & abuser. Her two brothers both killed themselves within 10 months of each other. She was a walking wreck.10 years ago

FYI: This song is about a woman named Edith Minturn Sedgewick or "Edie" who was a muse and then exploited by Andy Warhol ("Warhol's Darling Queen") in the 1960's. "Ciao" is a reference to a movie she made called "Ciao Manhattan". She had a horrible childhood even coming from such a rich (historical & financial) family, and had a serious problem with drugs and mental illness. She was dead at 27 years old in 1971...10 years ago
