In 1314, the twenty-fourth of June,King Eddie says "We're ready now to steal the stone of Scone".He brought his biggest army but discovered he'd backed a deuce,at Bannockburn he found that he was up against a Bruce. CHORUS:Well, we raised our pipes and the English kept a-coming,but they werena quite so happy when we gie'd the pipes a blaw, struck once more, they began a-running,ready, steady, Eddie, go, it's time to shoot the craw. 2. Well, we had a bowl of porridge and a wee bit pinch of salt, we had a dram of whisky and it was the finest malt. We each wore a tammy and we wore the philibegs, Eddie was in terror when he seen the hairy legs. + CHORUS3. Now poor King Edward, nearly had a fit, when he seen his cavalry falling doon a pit. his men looked up from the trap that Bruce had built, and they were shocked to find out what was worn beneath the kilt.+ CHORUS 4. He sent for his archers, a group of country folk, they erred and they purred, what a funny way they spoke, with those archers Eddie had a go, but they were as effective as the ones on radio. +CHORUS 5. On the fastest horse that you ever saw, King Eddie went a-racing o'er the Border and awa, he was fond of Scotland, but he never did return, he didn't like the welcome that he got at Bannockburn.+ CHORUS + Ready, steady, Eddie, go, it's time to shoot the craw.

Dude, the majority of Northern Ireland are Britiah protesants who stole their land fron the Irish Catholics, no one but Unionists care about their opinions, go to Dundalk or Keady and ask if the borth should be independent or a part of the Republic, I think you can guess the answer.

Are you two going to take up this whole page on 'unification' Scotland has long fort to keep its independence it wants its freedom why shouldn't it have that right, if England or any other country with in British boundaries can have that same right of passage not to mention all the lives lost fighting for the freedom of all men regardless of race, creed color or religion .

I do not support the Unification of Ireland because the vast majority of those in the North do not want it; such things can only come about with consent. Gaelic is as much part of Scottish culture as Old Norse is. The vast majority of the historical population never spoke Gaelic; and derivatives of English (including Scots) have been spoken in Scotland longer. What have I said that justifies your assertion that "Using your logic about 99% of history taught is worthless"?

If Ireland is one nation then why don't you support the unification of the Republic and the North? What does people have to do with it? There's also little difference between me and my Dutch and Italian friends, except "language". I think we should teach Gaelic because it's in Scotlands national identity and culture, what's wrong with that? Using your logic about 99% of history taught is worthless because it's hardly beneficial. They became one, yes,and they can become two once again, hopefully.

I don't recall saying that Ireland isn't one nation. I have had the privilage of living and working across Britain, and I see no difference (apart from the accents) of the people that I meet from Falkirk, to Falmouth, to Farnborough. Tell me, why is it so comical about comparing Britain now and Britain 1000 years ago, but it is not comical (in your eyes) to say that we should Gaelic to our children? 2 seperate Kingdoms became one, do you ignore that?

You seem to think Britain is "one". It consists of 4 nations. Scotland and England are different, of course. Using your logic, why isn't Ireland one nation? Also comparing Britain now and Britain a thousand years ago is comical. So many things have happened in that time. Such as 2 separate Kingdoms. "British" has come to mean something that I don't class myself as. I am Scottish. I love Scotland.

Because teaching Gaelic, and to a lesser extent Scots; has no benefit to Scotland, and is only utilised by people like you to help create and promote a romantacist view of Scottish Nationalism and seperatism. Your identity? What is the nature and origin of this supposed identity? This, our island is run by the people that live here. There are no borders here, almost like it was a millenia ago.

Shite. How is teaching Gaelic and Scots in any way related to an independent Scotland? I've had the argument about independence with you before. My main reasons for independence are my identity, and the fact I believe a nation should be run by the people who live here. Also, what's the matter with even spreading my opinion on independence on videos, especially on The Corries, considering they themselves publically supported our country to be independent.

The last 3 times you may not of mentioned Scottish independence per say, but that is what you are trying to promote. The fact that you can't defend yourself Independence is something I find quite amusing.

Eh, no. I wont stop. Eh, the last 3 times you've replied to me was when I wasn't even commenting about Scottish independence. You're obviously just a sex pest.

Likewise boyo, stop asserting your seperatist agenda on every single video related to Scotland.
