Formed in Milwaukee in 1968 at Cudahy's Galaxy Club where the Kondos brothers joined up with members of an outfit called Eastern Mean Time. Some months later they were heard by Capitol reps at another club The Bastille, which the band had bought into.

With a contract for an album the band journeyed to Detroit to record at Terra Shirma studios with producer John Rhys. Released in February 1969, the LP is notable for the side-long psychedelic rework of John Coltrane's India. All tracks on side one were group compositions. It was successful in several regions (No. 3 in Milwaukee) but only rose to No. 197 in the national charts.

The group made more recordings but a deal for a second Capitol album fell through and this material was eventually spread across two LPs released by the band on Age Of Aquarius, a Cuca custom label (Fuzz, Acid & Flowers).

01.I Want to Get out of my Grave - 5:31

I used to hear this on KAAY AM radio out of Little Rock, their late night show...Bleeker Street? with Clyde Clifford. We could hear it loud and clear in northern SD. I've been looking a long time for this song!

I worked with your uncle in the 80's - in Bemidji, International Falls and on the iron range . . . He was one of the best friends I ever had. The memories we made those days were without question some of the best of my life. I have stories that I still tell about hangin' out with Dan. Damn - the good ones are all leaving this earth early. I loved that guy, and I'm not ashamed to say it.

As the wife of Nick Kondos, and the proud sister in law of John Kondos, let me thank all of you for remembering them together as a band of music ahead of their time..

A friend let me hear this LP about 10 years ago. It's cool to see that others like it, too. Great to see this on YT, and thanks for posting.

As you know I am the lead guitarist for the Corporation listed on the albums as Gerard Jon Smith. Nick Kondos (the drummer) and I talked about putting together the band with the remaining members and touring Europe but we are not sure if the fans would still be out there for us. I wonder if Pathé Marconi would be interested in the project?

Hello! I am not surprised...There were really bad deals in the 60s, so I've heard. The singer for the Chambers Brothers recently told similar stories of not getting royalties at all etc...What a shame. I live in France by the way and was really surprised to find this LP in a friend's collection the other day, it's quite obscure here. I had never heard or read of the Corporation before. It was distributed by "Pathé Marconi"(french label), making it very obvious it's not an import. lol.

You know this kind of thing happend to the Three Stooges, TV picked up their shorts and the networks and Columbia Studios made millions. The Stooges never got a nickle.

Singer Danny Peil of the Corporation used to sit in with our band at Monreal's in Milwaukee in '64. The Corporation is covered in my book, "Do You Hear That Beat".
