One thing I have come to realize is people see what they wan't to see. Not always Some topics/issues have logical stances that can be based in evidence. In the case of this song the definition varies from person to person depending on who they are how were they raised, what there going through and what there searching for. My interpretation is face your obstacles and yourself. Peel the layers of yourself back and find out what makes you tick your strength and weaknesses. You can be your own worse enemy. As well as ask for help when needed by loved ones. Roll up your sleeves and pull yourself up by your boot straps and get to work. wishing and praying and self pity won't accomplish anything. Be contemplative, critically thinking, motivated, determined and starving for success. I wish the best for all and this band there amazing. In the screamo/post-hardcore genre i think they really make themselves stand out.

Considering they're the best selling band on Rise right now, I beg to differ. But each to their own. However, you can't in good conscience say that Shayley is a bad singer. Austin may have lost it a bit, but not Shay. He's in Dayshell now. Give them a listen.

I saw them for the first time right after we all have demons dropped in '09 and they were far from headlining, since then they have gained quite a following which I love because they deserve great things. I'm so glad Rise has started promoting them, they deserve it

Well I guess I answered my own question, which the answer is only I can help myself. That appears to be the same conclusion that Know Hope has come to.

Well my mom basically kicked me out of her house last summer when I refused to go to church anymore and told her that God can't solve my problems and only i can help myself and God doesn't exist, because she said "i was being extremely disrespectful". haha that's probably why i hate these lyrics so much. i can vent here because she would never listen to this because she think The Color Morale is black metal and she listens to Lady Gaga haha.

Funny thing, when my mom heard the low screams because she could hear the music because my headphones were so loud, my mom said "stop listening to this depressing devil worshipping screaming heavy metal", when this is actually a Christian band.

I remember posting on their Facebook page in May 2012 asking them "I prayed to God and he never helped me to solve my problems, so am I supposed to deal with my problems if praying isn't working?" and no response and I was really interested what message they were trying to say on this albumn and I asked their guitarist Ramone on Facebook the same question and he ignored the question and said "Someone will be responding to you very soon." and of course no one ever responded.

Rise only started promoting them when TCM annonced the release of the Know Hope albumn. In December this video had only 1200 views and I was at least 100 of the views. Actually not that long ago they were almost a local band and that's the only reason I knew about them before Rise started promoting them because they also live in northeastern Illinois where I live.
