LYRICS:

Our town had a scientist

Who promised us he could assist

With all our little everyday affairs

He bult assistant robot men

Who towered 25 foot ten

And said that they would meet our every care

But his motives were ulterior

Cuz he felt we were inferiror

And very much to our surprise

These metal helpers terroroized!

Oh, Dr. Franklin won't you get your robots out of here

Life's been awful since they have arived

Please, Dr. Franklin, though it sounded like a good idea

Now we just to make it out alive

The massive robots went to town

Just blowing up and tearing down

And seeing how much havoc they could wreak

Now there's panic in the city streets

As people run from metal feet

The situations looking pretty bleak

Well perhaps if everybody goes

And grabs the nearest fire hose

We'll soak these things and let 'em rust

And leave these monsters in the dust!

Oh, Dr. Franklin won't you get your robots out of here

Life's been awful since they have arived

Please, Dr. Franklin, though it sounded like a good idea

Now we just to make it out alive Let's go!

Oh, Dr. Franklin won't you get these robots out of here

Don't sit there looking sorry in defeat

Please, Dr. Franklin, we'd sure love for them to disappear

They don't looks pretty piled in the streets

Oh, Dr. Franklin won't you get these robots out of here

We'd love for you to have them out by five!

Please, Dr. Franklin, we'd sure love for them to disappear

'Cause we just want to go about our lives!

Woudn't it be great with an alternative version of this song where Doctor Franklyn gets to triumph at the end? He probably put a lot of time and effort into this scheme, you know.

Liking both Dr. Steel and TCID, along with being a steam musician as well. Why not compare them?

I love Dr. Steel and TCID, and I believe these two artists are just too different to compare. Personally my favorite it Dr. Steel for his message, varying styles and industrial crazy beats, but I tip my hat to TCID for the lightheartedness. Dr. Steel is definitely darker and a little light balances my playlist

I don't see anything wrong with your comment, Dr.Steel is industrial, not really steampunk, and his strength isn't the music...any of his toysoldiers are bound to agree. Steel is a symbol of creativity and drive, he inspires and emboldens, even more so since his retirement. Cog is Dead is a great band, Steel is a great figure.

If it isn't my dear Ivy! I must say this song reflects a lot of the best elements of the genre; the music itself is optimistic and light hearted and the concept has a playfully self-aware, retro-futuristic, vibe.

I loved this song and I don't think that I even noticed that until you mentioned it.

Seconded. The sheer variety of styles and themes used by TCID is amazing.

I'm sorry, but I kind of agree with you. As much as I love Dr. Steel, but I can actually understand what they're saying in TCID. And what I love about Steampunk music is the fact that the songs tell stories, and TCID -obviously- does that very well. Dr. Steel's vlogs and fake interviews and propaganda videos were awesome, but I've always had a hard time getting into his actual music.

The use of theremin in this is outstanding.

I'm gonna get a lot of flak for this, but TCID is far, far better than Dr. Steel.
