You are correct. In Matt's side project, Vocal Few, his religious views are much more prominent. The most you'll find in a TCC song is a vague reference to a verse.

Actually, I don't think they are officially a "christian band". Yes, they are christians, but I don't think that is necessarily part of the genre. Either way, I don't think it matters. They are the best fudging band ever and I love them to death. 8D

@777oldspice Alright I gotcha then. I am the same way! I just get frustrated when people write off christian bands because they are christian. Or they write off other bands that produce great music with equally great messages that aren't christian ya know?

@TheWalter38 The only reason why I find out if a band is Christian or not is to find out what their world view is. If they are Christian it just makes the music a bit more awesome but I like plenty of other bands that aren't Christian like coldplay :)

I honestly don't understand why so many people argue over the fact that a band is Christian or not. Do you enjoy the music and lyrics? Cause if so, why would it matter if they are Christian or not?

@TheRealninjAttack As Matt writes on TCC's discussion board, "We believe faith is personal, and can be only held by an individual person. To entitle a group 'Christian' would be to assume that the group has a collective soul, or at least individual souls tied to a solid collective belief. Not everyone in our band is decidedly set in their faith, and we respect that.

for the last time, they aren't a christian rock band. Just because they have a Christian record label and they feature jesus in some of their songs, doesnt mean they're Christian. I mean, just about every other band in the world has made references to Jesus, but they sure aren't Christian bands. They're still my second favorite band.
