thank you! I appreciate that. The song at the beginning is a demo of "traffic" by Blood and Water. The band is on hiatus right now, but their album "in character" is super sweet. I would definitely recommend getting it. It's like old school relient k with a little bit of ska/reggae stuff. Traffic isn't on the album though, but get the album it's still one of my favorites.

Thank you! I'm actually studying Sound Recording Technology at Texas State University currently, and part of the program is through the school of music here, at which I am taking voice lessons. So not exactly a "formal music academy," but it's definitely helping me improve!
