Wrong button! My dad who is also the landlord showed up as I was recuperating and found out what just happened. He was so cool about it. I was lucky that the flame didn't spread from the pan to the clothes I had hanging on the window blinds. I like to walk around naked. I thought I was being trendy by hanging my clothes on everything. So I just found out that number four is -You're shunned by Nick and Kate. And I fell asleep with the stove on for like the second time in my life. The first time was before I Became a Chef. I coughed a lot because of the smoke. It still smells a little. I was just so tired from work. Summer hours... This record is my hidden treasure and definitely in my top ten of the 90ties.What an emotion this record brings!True poetry..I wish The Church would release a record equally romantic and subtle as this one.Well they did a lot of interesting albums but the level of P=A is really something hard to achieve again.11 years ago

Oh and I will add that some of that 80s post punk sound seems to be coming back in style for the youth. New bands out of the UK mostly are good. You just have to find it. The Church is having new respect from younger people. my teens like them.11 years ago

The "Dark Wave-Post Punk" haunting sounds didn't flow with all the little trendy extacy heads were using club drugs or designer drugs (or whatever the fuck they were called). This music was for the bored shitless 80s period. Emo? not really emo. So I relate to what you're saying. "Stop being stuck in the 80s" but it was our music. I like all kinds of music but My mom in her late 70s loves her 50s rock ( as do I) but 80s is our thing. Maybe early 90s. then Corporate Crud from hell.12 years ago
