Probably, honestly labels can be ridiculous at times but at the same time they really are necessary to differentiate such a broad genre. I personally see it all as "hardcore" or just straight up punk, but for the purpose of answering this guys question they're known as a mathcore band.

Lol I know right? I didn't make any of this up though, I'm just telling it how it is. Mathcore is nothing new either, it started a while back with bands like Botch and The Dillinger Escape Plan I believe.

his vocals are a lot more raw and natural then most vocalists which is one of the reasons I love them so much

Honestly, to get a voice like his you have to have years of damage from screaming for the attack of your scream to sound like that. It's still sick though. Most screamers are like that then after awhile there screams turn to mush. Like Davie from vanna or spencer from underoath, when their screams where in their prime they were so sick.
