A&M, the record label that signed the band, changed management before the second album was released and dumped the folks that were supporting the band.

Random Stuff I Find on VHS

One of the "Dust Brothers" who produced "Mmmmbop" for Hanson and did the soundtrack to "Fight Club" was a member of this band. Since he got co-writer status on "Mmmbop", I don't think he cried poor from the airplay of that tune.

Not sure about the whole band but, John Faye (lead vox/gtr) was in IKE, and now is one half of John & Brittany, ...BOTH excellent! Check 'em out!

I am from Australia and remember this song being played on Triple J during the mid-nineties. Haven't heard it since then and just found this. Thank you for uploading!

I remember when the Caufields, Wanderlust, and Riverside were doing their thing in Philly, early 90's. Saw Riverside open for The Judybats at the 23 east in Ardmore and they were great..

For the record, these guys got heavy rotation in the Windsor/Detroit Area on 89X, and 96.3 the planet... hell i even remember seeing this video multiple times on Much Music.

Having owned Whirligig since I first heard this song, I still to this day do not understand how the Caulfields never made it beyond one hit wonder status...

While I share in your affinity for "Banditos", the Refreshments aren't considered one hit wonders, as "Down Together" -- a second single from their "Fizzy Fuzzy Big & Buzzy" album -- also charted in the Modern Rock Top 40. "Devil's Diary" was, in fact, the Caulfields' only hit. Regardless, you have great taste in 90s music.
