With the exception of "Blue Tip", this album didn't blow me over the first time I heard it. But by the second and then third time I realized it's an AMAZING album! Equal to their older stuff. and better than Heartbeat City and D.2 D.

I love The Cars, like just about everyone here (very much) But I'm disappointed in the mix- I don't know who OK'd the final mix, but Rick's vocals needed more presence, and are somewhat washed out , and drowned in the recording. His solo work was much better produced. Ida know… Thanx for posting this though :)

I was SO lucky to see them on this mini-tour. They only played 11 cities I think. The venue was packed, and they played a fantastic show ! Ben Orr's bass guitar was on stage with them, with a spotlight on it. Greg Hawkes picked it up and played it on one song. I sure wish they would have done a major tour, or at least filmed this. I managed to video a partial song, before a bouncer called me out on it.

I bought this record the day it came out. I was on the cusp of my 44th birthday and had recently celebrated seven years with the great love of my life. We just passed Year Nine and this song is still melts my cold, black heart. Thank you, Ric.

A great tribute to Benjamin Orr. Ric is singing like Ben and it is their new found attempt at "Drive" without him. The Cars without B. Orr is hard to take. I've seen the Cars in concert probably a dozen times. I met Ben in passing maybe twice. I miss him. The Cars are great, but something is just not right without Benjamin Orr.

Me too, i cry bcs the lyrics are soooo, true and innocent. It will be in my wedding for sure. The CARS still ROCK, amen.. wish Ben would have been in it also. God Bless:=)

I stumbled on to this looking for another Cars song and you are so right-this is a great song and Rick sounds just like he always did and brings back a lot of memories from the 80s. It is refreshing to have an 80s band bring about great new stuff and not just remakes. Thanks Cars!!

Thanks for the reply. I was lucky enough to get to see them on their 10 city tour. They played their first one in 23 years in Seattle at a very small venue. I was in the front row standing against the stage. It was so cool. Rik actually was smiling alot. I think we the fans blew him away. It looked like he was pleasantly suprised about our reception of them. The album is great. It sounds exactly like something they would have done in the late 70's. Thanks for the reply and rock on!

This band showed a lot of class. They waited 23 years ,before releasing this album. They could have sold-out, and kept recording after Ben's death, but I think that they didn't want to do it without him. They sound great and I am glad that they got it together for this album.
