How do you know you were elected to be saved? What if you think you were elected and you weren't? What then? God does not force himself to anyone, as Adam choose to disobey God so I choose to love him. That love is not something I worked for but God enabled it to be effective in my life by his son, when He gave is life on the cross for me! It was HIS gift that I don't deserve but that I choose to cherish all the days of my life. If unconditional election was true we didn't need to obey to the great comission "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you". Believers chosen by God would fill our churches without the need for us to tell them about Jesus Salvation!
