The ultra-rare sole single from Edinburgh's freakbeaters. Tam White on vocals and written by guitarist Johnny Turnball. PS: This is NOT the Buzz who backed David Bowie

There is a Tam white song doing the rounds, a cover of God only knows...beachboys, said to be recorded by meek, sounds great

Not sure if this is widely known or in the public domain: 1973 at the dawn of glam this song was recorded by a time traveller called Bob, AKA Joe. Archive footage is in circulation of police aprehending joe and his Outlaws during a publicity stunt, during which Joe reaches for his flip phone (communicator) to the surpise of the officers involved. Rumours say Joe or Bob died in 1967 but others say he just returned home to his planet, he still visits from time to time to collect his royalties.

That's true. Shame all his rare stuff is recorded so tinny

OK, thank for responding. There is a recording on yt (RGMFRIEND) but it was done via a mic so not the best sound.

Thinking back, I don't recall hearing any of these late Meek singles on the pirate radio stations. He should have sent someone round to Denmark Street with a few promos for Reg Calvert's boys to play on Radio CIty.
