We (The Brown's) enjoyed recording "Springtime". We stacked our voices, in other words, we sung harmony with ourselves, this was the first time we had tried. Chet liked it, said we must do more. It sounded like we were using other voices. I hope you enjoy listening to this one. (Maxine Brown)

What better time to enjoy this song "Springtime, since this is the first day of spring and we have been through a tough winter. Now, we can listen to the birds singing, watch the weeds grow and enjoy the Browns "SPRINGTIME". (Thanks everyone)Maxine Brown

Love this, especially on a snowy day like we are having, we are all ready for some Springtime. We stacked our voices on this, singing harmony with ourselves. I hope its will be one you will enjoy. (Maxine Brown)

I can't tell you how often I went to sleep to your album Town &country as a young child. The military hospital would have a reel to reel tape deck on the ward with the big studio reels on it . The would play Scarlet ribbons and other songs untill the kids went to sleep. God bless Don.

The songs featuring Bonnie' sultry, soft but beautiful voice are special.

Thank you Covellas. I just saw your post after a whole year has pssed. One of my favorites is also "Making Plans", a great song written by Johnny Russell. Well, I did try making it on my own, but maybe I did not try hard enough, that old saying is so true (When you dance, You must pay the fiddler). (Maxine )

We had so much fun recording this, singing harmony with ourselves. I can sing harmony with myself, but I could never sing Bonnie's part. She has such a high voice, but, she could never sing my part either. (Jim Ed could never sing all three, it hurt his voice) (Maxine Brown)

On this beautiful song the Browns stacked their own voices in the chorus...no outside voices just Jim Ed, Maxine and Bonnie overdubbing themselves. They were an amazing and still underrated harmony group.
