Nothing in America today sounds quite so new as the Boomtown Rats - why? Here's a thought - I understand Her Majesty knighted Geldof, as well as anointed him with the title "Man of Peace" - we find all too few in America, post-war - but, perhaps even more important, if English and American releases are compared (original tracklistings) - the gulf between Christians and Jews is revealed (seems to me) in a most revelatory way - Geldof being somewhat Jewish himself, it seems all the more striking - the British releases seem to argue - "The Second Coming? Let's get the Christ some pussy and show him a good time!" The stateside releases ( re:Jewish-American record industry executives) seem to argue - "Fuck him - show him the door and nail the son-of-a-bitch again!" Maybe I'm reading too much into this - maybe not - but, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Geldof and Her Majesty - I think of Jesus as a brother and a friend as well -not the competition - if he's seen about - and, should be any minute now - I vote - let's get the guy laid, pronto... see ya, Joey...

I undertand its for some cause involving rats or summat like that. btw I think this music is wicked. punchy as hell. impactful. great beat. love it.

For all you doubters, i seen the rats on their 2013 tour at newcastle. After they had wowed the crowd with the best from their first 3 albums, they finished their set with this, and it went down an absolute storm. Over the years i have been to literally hundreds of gigs/concerts and i can say without out a doubt this was the best. Its fair to say im a big rats fan, and ive waited 30 year for this, but they were truly amazing. They were never punk, they just took risks and believed in their music, and i think it shows here. I hope they tour again, and i would love for them to go out with this. See it live and you will understand.
