I bought my copy of this 12" from Jock McDonald in the Notting Hill Gate branch of Virgin Records when he was in there one afternoon touting copies of the 12" to 'W' the shop's manageress. When it was played by the shop workers to test it and hear if it was any good, I fell in love with it straight away. lucky for me at the time, I bought got my copy straignt from the bundle McDonald was carrying in his arms, he only charged me a few quid (£2/ £2.50 or so), all the while he and the shop staff were still negotiating prices and units etc. I thought it was all quite a bit of a cool, fun situation for a young teen fan of P.I.L/Pistols/Dub music etc. to be in, and I also got to buy a Bollock Brothers 12 inch single ("great name, great record, err, who are they?") before (just) it was officially put out on sale...and my copy was from the bloke who made it. I loved it on its first playing, I still do and I still get a kick out of taking this record out of my collection, looking at its plain cover and then playing it, both sides.
