According to John Clemente's book "Girl Groups" on page 25, when Darlene joined the group (around 1957)they were already re-named The Blossoms (from The Dreamers). That was a Capitol Records requirement. On " Move On" ,the lead singer was Nanette Williams, not Darlene. Darlene did not record as a lead until 1958 with No Other Love/Big Daddy-O.

The main thing is that it's a great song and you like it. Thanks for the reply:-))

Hi, and thanks for the reply. I realize there are some discrepancies about when Darlene actually started in the Blossoms, and I'm not quite sure what to believe other than it really sounds like her singing this song. I made the comment because Move On is listed in her autobiography's discography on page 280. Maybe she included other Blossoms songs before she joined? Regardless, it's a great song! I think I'll "Move On" now.... :)

Darlene Wright (later known as Darlene Love) did not join the group till the following year 1958. In this song the members were Fanita Barrett later known as Fanita James,Gloria Jones, and twin sisters Nanette Williams and Annette Williams. Thank you for your comment.

Wow, Darlene Love at 16! If anyone ever had doubts about her as a naturally gifted singer, here's the proof!

Plas Johnson, who made Henry Mancini's "Pink Panther" theme famous, leads in and does the tenor sax solo here. Rene Hall on guitar can be heard behind him.
