While working on this song, they were stuck with how to fill in the main part, when in walked Fanny, their housekeeper. They looked at each other, and knew that was the missing part, they honored her and put her into the song...

As well as with that other Bee Gees song sung by their brother Andy " Love´s thicker than water", that for me has the best ending in any song, this one has the best entrance.

The more I listen to the Bee Gees the more in awe I am of their vocal talent...that opening verse is a lesson onto itself. They just can't be emulated...people try but no way.

I forgot to add "Fanny be tender with my love. You know how easy it is to hurt/break me" amongst the list of heartfelt lyrics in this beautiful song - lyrics only The Brothers Gibb are capable of writing!R.I.P., Robin & Maurice Gibb.

"First I rise, then I fall. Seems like you don't want the love of this man at all". Such great lyrics that tug @ the heartstrings, including "'Cause that's all that I got, & my love won't desert/forsake me". Gotta grab the ol' hanky! The Brothers Gibb are amongst the greatest lyricists in pop music alongside John Lennon & Paul McCartney, & that isn't an understatement, folks!!!Bravo, The Bee Gees!!!

This great song by The Brothers Gibb charted in early 1976. I wish I had a time machine so I could go back & be 10 years old again! I remember when this song was in regular rotation on our local AM station @ the time - KSTT AM 1170 out of Davenport, IA.Bravo, The Bee Gees!

This was The Bee Gees' last pure melodic pop album before their full-fledged foray into disco (although The Brothers Gibb would record non-disco songs [mostly ballads] here & there during the late '70s), Great song, great LP ( "Main Course")!R.I.P., Robin & Maurice Gibb.

Barry Gibb of the fabulous Bee Gees is the only brother still alive. Such a magnificent group. Thanks for the music and the memories. The one and only Bee Gees. RIP all the brothers who have passed.

This song takes me back to coupling skating on "soul night" at the skating rink on Sunday night in Alabama.

A very under-rated song. It got lost in the "Saturday Night Fever" blizzard of success.
