I like the song a lot too, but I recall in an interview (probably the Playboy interview) that Lennon dismissed the song as being a throw away number. Lennon was occasionally a bad critic of his own music.

Yes! That's so true! I love all music except really tangy sounding country (I like Pop Country, Country Rock, and Contemporary though), most Opera (I like a few songs), and really, really hardcore death metal music (the hardest band I like is Refused.) I'm getting sick of people who are like, "Oh all music that isn't from the 60's- 90's sucks!" or "Eww you're listening to that song? It's so old it's from like 2011."
