If you only knew what it was like to have an abusive MEAN dad and then Have the Great John. Lennon. Sing to. You. THAT. THERE'S. A Place. Well that can be. Reassuring to a 14 year old. Boy. The Beatles showed up on Ed Sullivan on February 9th 1964 and I turned 14 on February. 18th. Ron Guerra. Phx.AZ

This is so 60's. Why did things have to change? To hear the simplicity of that time and then hear the junk of today -- It makes me so sad.

This song and its concept was way ahead of its time. Very Buddhist - "..and it's my mind"

Error on date - all but Love Me Do were recorded and released in 1963 in the UK.

Simply put, there is nothing like an EARLY Beatles song! You can hear how much fun they were having and that is part of their charm. Not to mention their songs ROCK. Long Live The Beatles.

Hi Chris, I just listen to Avril song "Wish You Where Here", and I was surprised how modern songwriters use same cliches over and over, even title is from Pink Floyd...but not the Beatles, even in these older songs they are very inovative, yet popular!

I agree such a sweet song one of my faves, and just think,,,,this was a B side for most bands this would have been a hit, A testament to the depth of their songwriting talent.
