"Like Dreamers Do" is a song written by Paul McCartney in 1957. It was performed by the Beatles at their unsuccessful 1962 audition for Decca Records.[1] In 1964 the track was recorded by The Applejacks. This was the first commercial release of the song. The single's music director was Mike Leander. It reached #20 on the UK Singles Chart.

The Beatles version was later released on Anthology 1.

McCartney wasn't fond of the song and considered it a throwaway.

Recordings of "Like Dreamers Do" as The Beatles may have performed it are available on the 1989 album by Bas Muys entitled Secret Songs: Lennon & McCartney and on the 1998 release It's Four You by the Australian tribute band The Beatnix.

I´m sitting her with an old single with The Beatles. It´s "Help". On the backside of the cover there is a list of singles, EP´s and LP´s with The Beatles. The list with the singles mentions the A and B side. One of them says: A hard day´s night (A-side) and Waitin´for you (B-side). The single has the number R 5160. Does anyone has an explanation? (I mean, if they never recorded it)

The Beatles didn't sing this version. Why are you people so stupid as to mislabel every fucking thing you post? Can you explain possibly?

I would bet anything that John or Paul never, ever laughed harder than they did than when they were together. There is incredible camaraderie that emanates between them. How I wish I could have been there to have experienced some of that magic.

Wikipedia reports that Paul McCartney was only 16 years old when he wrote this song and only 19 when he recorded this version.

Just shows how good The Beatles were when they could afford to give away amazing songs like this.
