This was also the opening theme music for Season Three (1967-68) of the "Beatles Cartoons" series.

I read that this was somewhat of a diss song aimed at frank Sinatra for talking smack about the beatles.

Name one band that was "better" than the Beatles. What do you mean "better"? There were many excellent groups at the time and later, but none that could ever match the completeness of the Fab Four.....never.... and I suspect there never will

Jagger's "bird" certainly could swing. And she could sing as well.

The song reminds me the Chinese Emperor Qian-Long of Qing-Dynasty (乾隆帝);The Emperor Qian-Long had said to the English Ambassador McCartney that the Emperor had all the things of the world and no need to import the things of English. Then, the Emperor of Qing dynasty and his people have imported the Indian Opium through Englishmen & Frenchmen.I saw the poster of English comedy, called “MIKADO”;That was “the old name of the Emperor of Japan”.In the English Comedy, there were the several men whose name seems to be similar to the tops of Far East imperial families and politicians and so on.I heard the music composed by John Lennon, called "You are Here".He sang in the song, "East is West, West is East, let it be complete".I learned at the school about the Grand-Cross-Game at Africa by England & by France. As the Beatles sang about an African Queen in their song “What's The New Mary Jane”, there have been the Dynasty of Africa, and there were at least a Queen of Africa. Nowadays, we can see very few African Dynasty's inheritances. There have been many former-slaves in U.S.A., and American people have a long fight for human rights. There have been few former-slaves in England, many of them were house servants, and a few problems of the slavery at England. As all the people of the world see, there have been a long fight for human rights among the people in African continent.I have seen very beautiful male singers groups of England.Almost all of them have been fascinated the people all around the world like opium to forget about the English invasions, her colonial systems, or her slavery systems.John Lennon have been fighting for the human rights, during he has been with Yoko, doesn’t he?Why the bird can't hear John Lennon?

I bought the anthropology version and I am kinda wish I bought this one. It's very clean cut and the bass and the electric is beautiful on the track along with John's vocals!

Maybe the most underrated song of John's whole career, and Sir Paul's astonishing bass line is the crown jewel on it. Masterpiece, capital 'M'.
