sat 6th april 2013,shetland gig thanx for coming.its very rare we get bands up here that arnt tribute bands.we all had the best time.i originally from cov so great to see bands from near to home.i am impressed with the energy roger still has,and what a great vibe.those genes have definately been passed down to his son.all the best to you.

I saw The Beat in 1980 and in 1981 when they sold out Manchester Apollo in a matter of hours and to this day the 1980 gig is one of the best I have ever seen,by anybody.A bit of shame to see them in half full clubs with bored looking (albeit competent) session musicians.The Beat essentially died in 1985 when the original line up split.Roger still gives his all though.
