This song started Britpop; the New Rose of the 90s. Luke Haines was of the Blank Generation, (30 when he made this), not a Slacker age boy, but Brian James was likewise a bit too old to be a Punk

Great sound ! If you like Indie music and find underground artist, I suggest you to discover a new one by writing *"Niko Laetailleurs"* in the you tube search bar. One of my favorite...

Nearly 20 years ago !!! I remember listening to this on the radio and not being able to get hold of the cd in my town for ages - and so always waiting for it to be played on an indie radio show

The Auteurs / Luke Haines have to be ( shamefully ) one of the UKs most under appreciated and unrecognised talents of modern times.

Bad Vibes is an excellent book. I had honestly never heard of The Auteurs, but (as explained in the book) they were never very popular in the North Of England! I have also read his 2nd book Post Everything and that is really interesting and laugh-out-loud-funny in parts. Definitely recommend it!

Bad Vibes is a flippin' masterpiece. The best thing to come out of BritPop.

Should be one one of the greatest Brit bands ever. Shame that not many people know about them these days.
