Great song written by the Addrisi Bros. and played on my local MOR station, WIP/610 in Philly. This had been blocked previously, but now seeing other postings on YT it appears that Warner is allowing it, so I thought I'd post mine.

I can't tell if that guy who said that this was their only hit is just trolling and trying to start shit or if he actually thinks this was their only relevant or good song.. Wait do old ppl even know what trolling is haha? I can't imagine anyone over the age of 20 would be trolling YouTube videos

This is one feel good song and it does make one want to "...kick off their shoes and feel the good earth under their feet..." or words to that effect, I'm not sure on the wording. What I am sure of is that I love this song!!

Okay--So now go listen to the "Nanny and the Professor" theme song. These two songs sound so similar. They should...They were both written by the Addrisi Brothers who sang Nanny and the Professor.

The love of my life (Kathy) and I saw The Association in concert, back in June of '68, at the old Melodyland venue in Anaheim, California and they were really great, singing songs like Time For Living, Windy, Never My Love, Six Man Band and all their great hits of the era. Sometimes, a song, like a smell or a photo, can be the vehicle used to travel back to another time and place in one's life. Great memories of my youth.......

dunx1964: "Cherish" By The Association when straight to Number 1 on the U.S. Billboard Charts in 1966. From there they had five songs that went to the top of the Billboard Charts including "Never My Love" that went Number 1 on both Billboard's Pop and R&B in 1967. The rest they say is history! "Windy" was another top-ten hit for The Association too!

Most folks go by the U.S. Billboard chart or Cashbox or the Hot 100, because of the size of the U.S. music market. They actually had a number of top 10 hits, including a #1 Billboard ranking for "Cherish".

I'm going by the UK charts, it got to number 23 May 1968, no other charted hits before or after, but I will gladly stand corrected.
