I agree, the mock TRL references and ridiculous footage must seems dated. a shame for such a deep song. I'd rather just have seen them playing as who they are, not some gimmick. even it's satire. they were too good for this.

The enduring quality of emo is, since its inception, nobody thinks anything current is "true" emo. This was true when this came out almost 15 years ago-- trust me, the AOL chat rooms were all over it-- and it's true now. I'd say "give it a rest", but that could be the death knell for emo.

I wish so hard that this record had been mastered properly. They're all great songs, but the lyrics/vocals get obscured and it makes it difficult to properly enjoy. I'm not a music snob like people who complain about this usually are, but in some cases it's pretty apparent. Oh wells, still a great band and song.

I sure wish there was some way to teach the rest of the general public what the hell they're talking about when they use the term "emo" in such negative connotations. To this day I feel a little part of me die every time someone refers to something as "emo" as an insult, and with such ignorance of what the hell it actually means, and where it comes from. And how the term emo has never meant what it's now stereotyped as.

Wow. You're really lucky, The Anniversary has been one of my favorite bands for the last 10 years, sad to say I never got to see them perform. They were around for such a brief period of time, but left behind one of the greatest albums to ever be made. Period.
