The Beacon Theater - New York, NY.

Posted by Rick Randall.

Warning, there are a few cuts in this, but I tried to make them as seemless as possible. I was so excited for the ABB to be doing this title track from the Seven turns CD, (with Oteil singing no less), that I didn't want to let the fact that the row ahead of me kept getting up to go out for more beer stop me from posting it! So I took 3 shorter clips and fused them together. Sorry it's not the whole song, but I think it came out OK considering!

I have read hundreds of opinions about Dicky Betts and the Allman Brothers split. All I can say is the many times I saw the Allman's with Dicky and Dicky Betts with his solo band they are some of the most memorable concerts I have seen. I have seen Springsteen, Stones, Seger, The Dead, Black Sabbath, Journey, Foreigner, and so on. Nobody can deny Betts was one of the greatest guitar player, songwriter, and singer with his own unique sound. There is nothing more I would enjoy is to see him play with the Allman Brothers before it is too late.

Thank you so  much for posting this!  I was at this show.. And I've been listening to the Live CD quite a bit since the show..  This song was easily one of the best for me that night!  :)  Can't thank you enough!

love this song....wish Dickey would have been there to sing it.  In the new book "One Way Out" Dickey points out how he does not do songs written by Gregg when he tours and he seems pretty hurt that they do his songs tour after tour without him.

Awesome.  Thanks for capturing.  Love it when Oteil sings.  They should let him sing Blue Sky.  He sounds like Dickey.
