The little new wave girl I was HOPLESSLY in love with some 30+ years ago turned me on to The Alarm. Found this song really catchy, but don't think I new it was inspired by a Stephen King Novel til I was in college! (Hey! It was they 80's! There was a certain amount of naivete!) I mean... it was years before I realized 'Party at Ground Zero' was a blend of 'Dr. Stranglelove' & 'Masque of the Red Death'!!!

Oh I have been out searching with the black book in my handAnd I've looked between the lines that lie on the pages that I treadI met the walking dude, religious, in his wom down cowboy bootsHe walked liked no man on earthI swear he had no name (had no name)I swear he had no nameCome on down & meet your makerCome on down & make the standCome on down, come on down,Come on down & make the stand. As I crawled beneath the searchlightsLooking through the floorboards of this lifeI met Doctor Strangeloves cousinHe bore the marks of time"Hey! Trashcan where you going boyYour eyes are feet apartIs that the end you're carrying Shall I play the funeral march" (play the march)"Play the funeral march"Come on down & meet your makerCome on down & make the standCome on down, come on down,Come on down & we'll make the stand.Come on down & meet your makerCome on down & make the standCome on down, come on down,Come on down, we'll make the stand. When I looked out the windowOn the hardship that had struck I saw the seven phials openThe plague claimed man and sonFour men at a grave in silence With hats bowed down in graceA simple wooden cross,It had no epitaph engraved (it had no)It had no epitaph engraved.Come on down & meet your makerCome on down & make the standCome on down, come on down,Come on and make the standCome on down & meet your makerCome on down & make the standCome on down, come on down,Come on down, & we'll make the stand.

I dressed as The Walkin' Dude for a costume day at work. I wore my t-shirt with the lyrics to this song on the back, under the jacket. Even though no one else could see it, it made me laugh.

Great sound ! If you like Indie music and find underground artist, I suggest you to discover a new one by writing *"Niko Laetailleurs"* in the you tube search bar. Perhaps you'll find some good vibrations...
