I posted a comment here several years ago asking about the story behind the lead singer on this track. Louise Kennedy's daughter kindly wrote back to me letting me know a bit about her mother's story as far as coming over to Thailand in a USO type capacity during the Vietnam War and finding her way onto this awesome track. She also asked me to write back if I had any more questions. If you're reading this, Ms. Kennedy, I went for years without signing onto this account and then lost your message when YouTube seemed to reformat- I'm sorry for losing touch. As another person has already commented, the music here is pretty much "Green Onions" by Booker T and MGs. I question that this singer was named "Louis" since obviously this a woman, so I suspect her real name was Louise Kennedy. If so, and she was a foreigner, that would explain her incorrect pronunciation which others have commented on.
