Dog Faced God

Chuck's voice is one of a kind....you KNOW it's him, unlike so many cookie-cutter bands these days. You could see the progression towards this style from 'Low' and even 'Live at the Fillmore' (one of my favorite albums of all time).

Personally, I don't really think this album is thrash. Rather, it seems to have a death-metallish groove metal sound with occasional thrashy moments. But one thing it really succeeds in is sounding demonic, and that's something I'll give Testament. It really does sound demonic, and I mean that in a good way. Pretty badass album if you ask me.

I love how Chuck Billy switches from his deep, awesome growling voice to his normal shouting voice and that weird effect gives it a reallyy creepy, "demonic" feel. Res of the band is awesome as well, especially my favourite drummer, Gene motherfuckin' Hoglan!
