Testament - 8. Killing Season - The Formation Of Damnation

Asking for salvation at the stations of the cross, eternal is my pledge if eternal is thy loss

Back in the days of yore my country summoned me, enlisted willingly in defense of liberty

Eroding all alone like the mist upon the moss, eternal is my pledge an eternal holocaust

They summoned me, honorably, defend the cause, never repent, away I went, to defend the cause

When I was sent away they made a soldier from a boy

Victory will be achieved lethal weapons to destroy

Killing season, has begun with blood in my eyes the truth blames the lies

Machine gun, no place to run killing season

I was taught the art of war, kill

Exploding all alone like the blood upon the moss,

Eternal is my pledge if eternal is thy loss

They summoned me, honorably, defend the cause, never repent,

Away I went, to defend the cause

When I was sent away they made a soldier from a boy

Victory will be achieved lethal weapons to destroy

Killing season, has begun with blood in my eyes the truth blames the lies

Machine gun, no place to run killing season

Chosen one, with death on my hands, killing season

Art of war, kill on command, killing season

Killing season, killing season

Killing season, killing season

You have a killer channel. Wondered if you knew Chuck Billy and Zetro do backing vocals on the Forbidden track Overthrow.

you better, I mean you had the fucking OPPORTUNITY. Holy fuck, and I'm getting soooo into Exodus and I barely even looked into them (heard first album, TOXIC WALTZ, TOXIC WALTZ, TOXIC WALTZ (I looped this 400x, most addicting riff, lyrics ever), Lunatic Parade, Chemi-Kill, and so much more). It's like ARGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!

Don't forget to check out Overkill too, and Sepultura went to shit after roots. Check out Soulfly. Max Cavalera formed Soulfly after he left seputura. Their fist two or three albums are kind of nu metalish, but Prophecy-Enslaved albums are awesome! I dig it.

Also that improvement in music has to do aswell with being influenced with the south american metal. You should check the famous bands of that region like Malon or Horcas, or if you like the underground, bands like Criptofonia, Stone Dozer, Armonia, Osamenta, ProAgresioN, Arthois, Oil, etc etc etc.

That's because they evolved in the right way. Its quite hard to explain, but is has to do with knowing a lot of the underground genre of music and the famous bands. If you learn from both side, the evolution you or anyone can have in music is amazing.

Dude, so lucky. I love Testament as a whole and a few albums out of Anthrax and they were gonna come by Detroit. I wanted to go with a friend who I knew would LOVE the line-up but no...he has not "researched" Anthrax yet. You see, he wanted to finish looking into the Big 4, and not skip Slayer to listen to Anthrax just to say he wants to go. After listening to Anthrax and a few songs out of Testament he SO regrets it. Anthrax, Municipal Waste, Exodus in April though, but I'm on vacation...FUCK!

Totally agreed. I have finished Sepultura since that month-old comment and I've gotta say, Max Cavalera was the shit. But Derrick Greene was just shit. Though I wonder how you will respond to this: Morbid Visions is among, if not the, worst album I have ever heard. Though Schizophrenia to Roots is one of the biggest transformations and orgasm train of albums ever released. Especially Arise. North Korea is a government scam to reason nuclear industrialization for a larger plot, research the NWO.

Sepultura is only valid if you refer to the cavalera era.

Easily one of the best metal bands in the history of metal if you ask me. Doesn't get much better than this!

3 years ago...how is Testament now!? I'm just wrapping them up and they might be my favorite thrash metal band (I need to finish Sepultura to make a valid conclusion) but thusfar, of all thrash metal bands I've reviewed, Testament is THE shit imo.
