"sounding somewhat like la roux....." La Roux tried on her first album to sound all "80's". That's why. I don't respect her as she clearly did it as novelty, not from actual love of such music. She has made it clear she's past the 80's sound on her albums. This music had merit beyond using new technology at the time, for fuck sakes. Music in the early 80's was much more interesting and artistic than the pop shit nowadays. Fuck ironic hipster misappropriation like La Roux!15 years ago
