This was my first TRUE LOVE (Teri Spears) & mines song. When we were Very Young we only knew it by R.E.O. Speedwagon. But I Love this version too. Thanks for posting. Reminds me of her and when I was Very Happy and in Love and better days, at least for me. Roger C. in Burnet, Tx.

Besides the Hollies and CSNY, REO Speedwagon and John Mellencamp also recorded it. I have all five versions in my Mellencamp playlist. Thanks for uploading the original~

Terry Reid was first considered by Jimmy Page for the lead vocal spot in Led Zeppelin.

I never tire of this. It always takes me back to a different time, Some bittersweet memories, but I always come away happy after this tune. One of my all time favorites

Michael Grimm does a fantastic version of this song (he's a big Terry Reid fan), also amaazing on "Bang Bang" & " my fav. "Stay With Me" (also has great guitar skills)... Wish they could meet one day, an epic English deeply undervalued rock superstar and an incredible undervalued shy southern soul/country/rock star.. What they could do together!?!!* Feedback??

Yeah Nash recorded this with both Crosby, Stills & Nash AND The Hollies but obviously didn't think well of it to release it

The one and only time I saw Terry Reid was as the opening act for the Farewell Cream tour at Madison Square Garden when I was 14. It was my first concert, which had The Buddy Miles Express as number two. Reid was fabulous and a tremendous start to the evening. You never forget your first...right. I still have the vinyl of Bang Bang You're Terry Reid. Covers of Bang Bang and Season also fabulous.

Reid actually wrote this with Graham Nash, but didn't credit him. The CSNY version (called "Horses Through a Rainstorm") is an outtake from "Deja Vu"and is on their boxed set.

...and he copied Steve Marriott who was also ignored. The masses of people have no taste that's all.

the previous line is 'someone's mother said he got no imagination" and I believe the ne xt line is " so he went and painted symbols on everyone's door"

...in 1968 with people like Aretha Franklin commenting ‘ there are only three things happening in London, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and Terry Reid ’,

*Check This Out Led Zeppelin Fans*Chances are you've never heard of Terry Reid, but he played an integral part in bringing one of the most dominant forces in music together. After The Yardbirds had imploded, guitarist Jimmy Page was left with a number of their contractual obligations and had to assemble a band pronto.... John Baldwin -- aka "John Paul Jones" -- got the first call and agreed to Page's project instantly.... Terry Reid was next on the list because he was Page's first choice as vocalist since he had a reputation for being an amazingly powerful and emotive singer, as this track shows.... Reid had to decline because of contractual obligations, but suggested to Page that he check out the lead singer of a group called the Band of Joy.The lead singer was Robert Plant -- and on drums was his good friend John Bonham.
