Man can't you just see those VU meters spiking when she hits those high notes! I'll bet she drove the recording engineers nuts!

Tuve uno de los tres CD que componen esta colección en el año 1998, era prestado y lo tuve que devolver, lo busque en todas las tiendas que pude y nadie lo conocía. Finalmente youtube lo hace imposible..

I heard this is the first song Elvis sang to get people to notice he could sing, which was at a high school talent show. After the talent show, Elvis started to get popular in high school. That is how I heard it.

This song was number one on the charts the week I was born in 1953. Just looked it up. Wasn't really familiar but I like it.

Somebody made a short movie about Elvis when he was not yet famous, it's title is NOBODY. The part where he sang this song was sang by Ted Torres, an Elvis tribute artist.

How can a petite body have such so much voice. Many women opera singers are big. I remember food drive-in speakers blasting the late 40's & 50's music when I rode past on my Harley. Wonderful memories from late 40's & all of 50's. The 30's were really bad. Kids don't develop properly on flour & lard surplus.

Daddy and Mommy danced in our living room to this. What a striking memory of them twirling in front of the old hi-fi . . . her in heels and a full skirt, him in a sport coat and shining shoes. <3

In 1953, it couldn't be stereo unless fake one... However I took this song on a very cheap 50s compilation and glad to know it's the right one. I hate re-recorded old songs.
