I love covers and remixes when done right too. I also know my music history. I find it sad that it is so hard to sample without permission. Look at the Avalanches and the trouble they had/have for example... Music is about creativity, building from the past. I would be honoured if i made a song and someone sampled it to good use many years later. Also they will get credited on the release notes. Music should be free from constraints. Too many constraints on it which slow its progress.11 years ago

What is your point? Original still is fantastic. Music has never been fully original. Hell look at what Daft Punk di with Discovery. The good stuff utilises creative sampling and provides a completely different sound, which it does? I really dislike people like you who have some sort of superiority complex with music thinking they know it all. Next thing you are going to say is all covers and remixes are bad right?
