Let's get on board, boy, let's catch that train and get on.Well, he jammin' down the highway, doing 95Got his V-8 engine buzzing like a hiveGotta catch that mail train, just to stay aliveWell, he wrote his baby a letter that he doesn't meanWell, he told his little baby "Don't wanna see you again"Well, he's gotta stop that letter, gotta catch the trainGotta beat it to the crossing before he gets to townGot to keep it with the humming, keep it to the groundGotta catch that mail train, hah, to flag it downRoll on, boyIt's squealing around the bend, tracks are getting nearWell, the roaring of the engine, passing in his earBut, he ain't gonna make it ~~~

I seen Alvin lee and his band in the 90's, I had 2nd row center seats, to see this man play his guitar that fast was awesome, my opinion is he is the best & fastest guitar player ever.

I listened to this album back in ..... It is a rocky and relaxed record if you are stoned on weed. If you are not,...it is still good!

another one i just came across in my collection is 'alvin lee & company'. sort of scrapings from the bottom of the barrel, but even tya scrapings are pretty damn good. part of the 'london collector's series' on deram/polygram.

See, after all these years you still got it right! I just got a new copy of Stonedhenge and Music on Vinyl did a nice job with it, different cover though. I got Undead and the first one in a Amazon cart, when i get up to 25 bucks and qualify for free shipping, I will checkout. Thanks for the inspiration. RIP Alvin Lee

if you've never heard undead, it's worth seeking out. some great jazz stuff on it. always with the blues lingering in the background. they even do a rampant cover of woody herman's "woodchopper's ball".

You are correct, Stonehenge came out after Undead, a live album. I was thinking of studio albums. I panicked thinking I missed a Ten Years After album somewhere :0 Thanks!

looks like i was right in the chronology: - ten years after - undead - stonedhenge (featured "speed kills") anyway, my favorites were the 'rock and roll music to the world' album, which was an excellent blend of blues and boogie rock & roll, and 'a space in time', for it's nice production and experiments with acousic guitars and synth and other instruments as well as it's more cohesive songwriting and arrangements. long live tya!

i thought 'undead', the live album, was their 2nd. i could be wrong. it's been a while since i thought about it. i'll check and get back to you.

I thought it was their 2nd album, was there another after their debut?. Love TYA!

the solo has those signature alvin triplets. love that. from their 3rd album. kind of a weird album. seems like they were just screwing around in the studio one day and just decided to record everything. it has a few really great moments on it.

Alvin Lee, con effetti da studio, di cui ne faceva uso, si inventò questo brano! Nello stesso periodo oltre oceano...
