Here they Come by 10 Years After - smoothly syncopates into lovely odd meter (e.g. not 4/4 or 6/8), what would otherwise be a nice, yet, common and stereotypical funky bluesy folk cliche. I challenge you to reproduce it in your mind.... see what I mean?

Wow! 'Here They Come', is perfectly ambiguous lyrically, (Who are "They"?) although Alvin Lee's use of metaphor is stunning and musically this song is very haunting. For my $$, Alvin Lee has the best, or at least, most haunting and expressive voice in rock 'n' roll. This man and TYA have one of the best sounds ever in the history of classic rock. Unfortunately, I believe they have been gravely underrated and underappreciated. So saddened to hear of AL's untimely passing. RIP, Alvin Lee.Todd H.Mesa, AZ

I still shed a tear or two when I realize that Alvin is no longer with us ... passed last year in Spain due to complications from minor surgery .... this album is one of the most under-rated in rock history... this song has a special hypnotic quality in it's repetition that is very conducive to meditation
