I never got the chance to see Teddy LIVE but I remember my aunts and uncles in NY had seen him and loved him. He came here to CT with Stephanie Mills in I think 1979 or 1980 and foolish me didn't go for my mom and two of my sisters went. This video clip proves he was the man and did he work the stage with his whole band and singers. I do a few of Teddy's songs in my band so like all the other soul brothers before him and after, I dedicate the songs I sing of theirs to them. RIP!

Teddy P was only about 30 in this video. The man was way ahead of his time and pure class. One of the few men that could talk through an entire song and you wouldn't get bored. RIP Teddy P.
