AFTER A TEARS FOR FEARS CONCERT IN THE 80'S, A FEW OF US STUCK AROUND AND INDEED THEY DID EVENTUALLY COME OUT TO GO TO THEIR BUS...IN THOSE DAYS, OLETA ADAMS WAS WITH THEM.....OLETA AND CURT WERE JUST GREAT, ENLESS CHATTING, AUTOGRAPHS ETC....THEY KEPT GOING IN THE BUS TO ASK ROLAND IF HE WOULD COME OUT....EVEN THE BUS DRIVER ASKED HIM....HE WAS A SNOBBY JERK THAT NIGHT....GLAD TO HEAR HE HAS A NICE SIDE!!!!!!!!!!

I met Roland Orzabal in 1983. As a woman I was promoting a concert at the venue they were playing the following night. I was running in circles. He approached me and said I looked as though I was going to explode. We chatted. It took place at the Hollywood Paladium they were playing that night. He brought me into the ballroom had me sit in a seat for the sound check. They played "SHOUT" as he pointed at me to do so...I didn't I wish I had but have been a fan since. Wonderfully compassionate man.

ONe of my favorite songs of all time! I love it that most people have never heard it. I dedicated this to St. Louis...world champ underdogs! This is a great victory song.

@CelesteK I must totally agree with you on that note. Someone (can't remember who, lol) once said "it's our experiences in life that make us what we are, and therefor give a song writer something to write about". So, kudos to the TFF reunion!

@LeosHouse Well whatver. They needed each other is my point. :) I think all of that time that they spent away from each other, 10 years in total, was actually quite good for them. Because it gave them the chance to experience things that they wouldn't have experienced otherwise. :)

@CelesteK I do agree that Roland and Curt made some wonderful music together. However, I must disagree that Roland has now or ever "needed" Curt. If anything...Curt needed Roland. Nevertheless, it is good to see them making music again.

@Zugzugul Actually they did hate each other from 1990 onward. I believe Curt left in the middle of the recording sessions for Elemental. They used words to hurt each other. It wasn't untill 2000 when Roland sent his manager to find Curt and someone gave his number to Roland's manager. I think that after all that had happened before Curt was a little hesitant to even work with Roland. I'm begining to think that Roland realized that he needed Curt.

@pocketgoth I agree with you. The drummer shouldn't ever try and outshine the two singers. I can't hear Curt at all. WTF is up with that?

This is such an awesome version of this song, I love it! It may even be better than the version on the album. I also want to say that I miss Nick so much, he really added so much to the band-his backup vocals were outstanding! I really hope he comes back to play with Roland, Curt and the band one of these days!
