This song is so meaningful on so many levels. It is a rare song and artist who can touch people that way.A lot se it as aluding to child abuse. To me it hits me in the gut as it speaks to me of my first relationship, before I knew what love was. the type of abuse I am taking about is the only one that is still swept under the carpet and not talked about. People would rather not admit is goes on.If my mum knew what was going on then she would have been locked up for murder. Luckilly I got out of it and found my first love later on who taught me what love is about and the foundations on which to build it.

Something happened between 1995 and now. We're in an alternate universe. The one we previously occupied has been corrupted. The early '90s saw a re-emergence of true, gutsy, soulful and sincere Pop music. It was as if we could bring back the spirit of the '60s and '70s after all. But, it wasn't to last. Since then, the soul has been lost forever and replaced with pale android imitations.

A fantastic song but a harrowing video. You can see why it wasn't a commercial success. An artistic triumph though/

superb and courageous--a real artist in a sea of mediocre ass-shaking bimbettes

this song breaks my heart every time, don't know and don't want to know how an adult sees a child in a sexual way

A beautiful song, covering a very difficult subject. Very poignant in light of the revelations about a late DJ who I refuse to dignify by naming him.
